Hijinks Farm is dedicated to serving the greater Monadnock community with healthy and sustainable food. Our nutrient dense, certified organic produce is sustainably grown on an old farmstead that was originally settled in the mid 18th century.
Four centuries of farming have occurred at this location in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. The land supports the distinction of having soils of statewide and local importance. It also had the distinction of being fallow for decades (perhaps centuries!). This later distinction required a long and arduous restoration, a process that took over 9 years to complete.
We achieved our organic status in 2006. Since that time, we have been building our soils and planting long-term crops, like asparagus, raspberries and the orchard, while trialing fruits and vegetables to find the right varieties for our soils and environment.
We produce a wide range of products at the farm, from maple syrup in March to pumpkins later in the season. All of our products can be found at the farm stand, or local farmer's markets.
